type='text'>Why a farm?

This is a question I get all the time. "Why do you have all those animals?" "Aren't they a lot of work?" "Don't they cost a lot of money to feed?" The answers are yes they are a ton of work, yes they are costly to feed but nothing else in my life has ever given me the peace that these wonderful creatures have. The animal friends in my life have taught me to live in the moment, to not worry about things you can't control. They can just be. We started our little farm with two lambs. Twins. Daisy and Bailey. They came to us at four weeks of age, saved from being Easter dinner. They were bottle fed and a handful. They didn't really trust people and even though we were their source of food it took a long time for them to come around. Now they eagerly greet you by the fence hoping you have a cookie or two. And of course....I always do....
Monday, February 27th

Welcome to my little slice of farm life! I've toyed with the idea of a blog for a while. People are always asking me if I have one and when I would say no they would say "Oh you really should" So...I decided to give it a try. I want this to be a spot where you can get away from a hectic day. Come spend some time with the sheep and goats!
I'll be posting knitting projects and recipes as well.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align:
